Here is your way:? Essay, interview, stage¡
The 11th annual English Festival Intercollegiate English Speech Contest will take place on Saturday, December 14th at 7:30 pm in the Shantou University Great Hall.
This night, five Shantou University speakers will take the stage alongside our guest speakers from Seoul National University, Hanshan Normal University, Sun Yat-sen University and University of Macau. These contestants are not only fiercely dedicated to the competition, but have skillfully woven their personal passions and values into their speeches to grapple with this year's theme:
My Life in Our World.
The ELC¡¯s English Festival Speech Contest is similar to the FLTRP (Foreign Language Teaching and Research Press) Speech contest. Students will be judged on the presentation of a 3 minute prepared speech based on this year¡¯s Festival theme: My Life in Our World. Then they will each be given 10 minutes to prepare a 2-minute impromptu speech. Topics are selected at random from a set of topics chosen in advance. The top speaker from the STU contestants will have an opportunity to compete in the 2014 FLTRP Speech contest in Guangzhou.
All STU students are welcome, including senior students and students from Medical College. Please come and join us.
